Outbreaks of new diseases are almost always shrouded in mystery. But rarely does an unanswered scientific question reach the peak of the attention economy and influence world matters. Suspicions about a research-related accident have since put the work and life of scientists involved in the search for the origin of COVID under pressure. There is a saying that one man’s crisis is another man’s opportunity… But who profits from keeping a scientifically unsubstantiated, but emotionally satisfying hypothesis alive?
LAB LEAK FEVER exposes a network of actors, activists, and agendas that work hard to sabotage ordinary scientific inquiry for self-serving gains. Abusing emotional rumors about a lab leak, scientific ignorance, engagement algorithms, and the trauma of a deadly pandemic, these chaos agents bring us along on a modern journey into the heart of darkness of our vulnerable information ecosystems.
From the start of the pandemic until today, the book chronicles not only the widening rift between science and society but illuminates how technology, media manipulators, and our human nature have made it impossible for ordinary citizens to discern between inconvenient reality and all-too-satisfying fictions.
Read The Inside Story Behind A Viral Origin Hunt - Today
As many of you know, I have spend the last years writing an investigative book about the COVID-19 origin controversy (and also took part in a documentary movie).
That book should have been out since earlier this year, but because President Trump got re-elected, the legal risk and potential consequences became to high for my US publisher and everything got thrown into turmoil.
As a short term fix, I decided to go ahead and release the book in Germany, Switzerland and Austria and see how things go from there.
Yet this was always a passion project that I believed in for the public good, and thus, it should be freely accessible, for anybody, anytime and anywhere.
Many dozens of people have since reached out to me and inquired if they could somehow get their hands on the book, and I had no good solution to them, which is absurd in the digital age.
So after months of uncertainty, legal reads and consultations, a few thousand bucks in the red, and honestly a small burn-out in between, I can finally act upon my belief to get this important story out, for everybody, for free.
For my blog here, I wanted to do something a bit special too, and decided to do a “serialized novel”-style role out of chapters, starting today with the first three.
Every friday, another new chapter will follow. (direct link to chapters below)
I also added a somewhat passable AI generated audio-track for people who do not have other text-to-speech options available but enjoy listening to books rather than reading them. Each blog release will also feature downloadable high-quality pdf version of that chapter, all of which can also be found freely available on the book´s website.
Find also more background info, chapter footnotes and video interviews at www.lab-leak-fever.com.
I can not do much about real printing costs of physical copies or charges on ebooks, so if people want to read in these formats (and help me recoop some of my costs in producing the book), please consider a purchase for yourself or even better, gift the book to a friend. You can buy directly on Amazon. (for non-US readers, please check your regional Amazon such as amazon.br or amazon.in as ebook prices may differ dramatically)
If you buy the book on Amazon, leave a review so it makes it easier for others to find the book. If you have written a book review anywhere, please let me know in the comments below.

I will leave an Amazon review when I get the book I ordered. Wow this gets complicated!? I am sorry you have had such trouble with what should have been a straightforward publication. I hope you get some income from the Amazon version?
There needs to be closed captioning for these sessions. Its very tough if you have hearing issues to otherwise listen to the broadcasts.
